Preservation Project with HistoriCorps - Week Two
Nestled in the valleys of Larimer County's majestic Red Mountain Open Space stands an iconic horse barn in need of dedicated preservationists. HistoriCorps invites you to join them this fall in northern Colorado to cap a season of historic volunteerism!
Larimer County is excited to partner with HistoriCorps in 2023 to repair and rehabilitate the historic horse barn following the successful restoration of the historic schoolhouse volunteers completed back in 2021. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to camp up at an open space that doesn't normally allow this type of use. HistoriCorps hopes volunteers are as thrilled as they are to continue this project surrounded by the beauty of Red Mountain Open Space!
Week Two - September 24-29

This project is moderate to difficult physical level as volunteers will reach, squat, lift, climb ladders, and carry large wood siding.
Tent or vehicle camping is available on site. No RVs.
No dogs please.
