What is a family caregiver?
A family caregiver is an individual of any age who cares for a close family member or friend struggling with short- or long-term limitations due to illness, injury or disability. Responsibilities of this individual can be as simple as picking up groceries, but can be as complex as providing permanent full-time in-home care. If you spend time completing tasks for someone close to you due to their limitations, you are considered a family caregiver.
