The Colorado Legislature passed a bill that granted County Treasurers the authority to waive delinquent interest from June 15, 2020, through Sept. 30, 2020, for 2019 taxes payable in 2020. Taxpayers may submit payment until Sept. 30, 2020, without penalty or delinquent interest. Beginning Oct. 1, 2020, interest will accrue at the statute-mandated 1% per month and be subject to advertising and distraint fees as scheduled.
