Some Larimer County property owners have received what appears to be phony Distraint Warrant notices via U.S. Mail stating a warrant has been issued against the recipient because of a tax debt.

Christmas holiday closure

Larimer County Offices, and District Attorney are closed Dec. 24 and 25, 2020, for the Christmas Holiday. On December 24th, the Larimer County Landfill closes at 2:30 p.m. and is closed on Dec. 25, 2020.

Critical services at Larimer County are not disrupted by closures.

Loveland Pedestrian Fatality

On 12/03/2020, a pedestrian was struck by a motorist at the intersection of Wilson Ave and 22nd Street in Loveland, CO. The pedestrian was transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies where she died at 2301 that evening. 

The decedent has been identified as 69-year-old Kathleen Knott from Loveland, CO. The cause of death is closed head injury and the manner of death is accident. 

No further information will be released by this office.

Grand Families Coalition supports growing needs of grandfamilies in Larimer County

Grand Families Coalition, a nonprofit organization that works to support the unity of grandfamilies, was awarded a $5,000 grant through the Larimer County Behavioral Health Services Impact Fund in October 2019.

Fort Collins Stabbing Ruled Homicide

On November 21, 2020, the Larimer County Coroner's Office responded to the 800-block of North College Avenue in Fort Collins, CO, to investigate the suspicious death of a male subject.  The decedent was identified as 30-year-old male, Adam M. Clouser. A full forensic autopsy was performed on 11/23/2020 by Larimer County Coroner James A. Wilkerson IV, M.D.

Dr. Wilkerson determined that the cause of death was multiple stab wounds, and the manner of death was homicide.

No further information will be released by this office.

Public’s Help Sought Locating Missing Teenager

16-year-old Katelyn Miller left her residence near Highway 392 and County Road 5 in Windsor on October 30, 2020, at approximately 2:00 p.m. and has not contacted her friends or family since.

Arthur's Rock Death - 11/04/2020

On November 5, 2020, the Larimer County Coroner's Office responded to Arthur's Rock to investigate the death of a male subject who reportedly jumped from the rock face.  The decedent was identified as 25-year-old male, Jonathan W. Crossley. A full forensic autopsy was performed on 11/06/2020 by Larimer County Coroner James A. Wilkerson IV, M.D.

Dr. Wilkerson determined that the cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death was suicide. The date of death was determined to be 11/04/2020. 

No further information will be released by this office.
