The Board of Larimer County Commissioners proclaimed the week of April 18 – 24 to observe National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

Those who are victims of crime need the support of our community, and each April, the Office of Victims of Crime encourages communities in Larimer County to acknowledge the victims of crime and the support they need. Victims of crime can sometimes have difficulty navigating the resources available from various agencies offering support.

“Sometimes with people in crisis, having that helping hand to guide them through the process is really important,” said Larimer County Commissioner Jody Shadduck-McNally.

To help crime victims find the resources they need, Larimer County has launched a new web page to help victims understand the processes, resources, and rights available to them in one place. The new web page --- also available in Spanish --- can be accessed by visiting

The new website is the result of collaborative work by the Larimer County District Attorney, Larimer County Community Justice Alternatives, and the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

Strengthening the information and resources available to crime victims is also one of the 2019 – 2023  Larimer County Strategic Plan goals.
