Vehicle crashes declined this year over last year from safety improvements according to the 2020 Traffic Safety Report from the Larimer County Engineering Department.

The report illustrates traffic crash data, safety improvements, low-cost safety improvements traffic safety mitigation, and other traffic data on Larimer County roads.

While the number of crashes were lower in the report, about half of the crashes  on Larimer County roads  were road departure crashes. A positive aspect of the report noted that DUI-related crashes were down over last year.

Unincorporated Larimer County has almost 887 roadways --- 104 miles in subdivisions, 81 in urban areas, surrounding communities, and 702 miles in rural portions of Larimer County.
