Devil's Backbone Open Space Death - 05/01/2022
On 05/01/2022, the Larimer County Coroner's Office responded to the Laughing Horse Loop at the Devil's Backbone Open Space in Loveland, CO to investigate the death of a 48-year-old male who had reportedly collapsed while riding a bicycle. The decedent was identified Douglas Collins of Loveland, CO. The decedent was transported to the Larimer County Coroner's Office where a forensic autopsy was performed by Larimer County Coroner James A. Wilkerson, M.D.
Dr. Wilkerson determined the following:
Manner of Death: Natural
Cause of Death: Sudden Cardiac Death
No other information will be released
