Larimer County Behavioral Health Services is accepting applications to award $2.5 million from the 2022 Impact Fund Grant Program.

The grant awards help fund the programs and services from organizations that support the behavioral health needs of community members.

BHS will award $2.5 million in two types of grant funding: Targeted Grants and Responsive Grants. The Impact Fund Grant Program application deadline is 5 p.m., July 1.

The 2022 Targeted Grants are defined by the department’s three advisory groups --- the Behavioral Health Policy Council, the Technical Advisory Committee, and the Consumer Advisory Committee which are approved by the Board of Larimer County Commissioners.

Targeted Grant areas:

  • Care Coordination & Systems Integration
  • Workforce Expansion & Support
  • Alternatives & Interventions in Criminal Justice
  • Services in Diverse Settings
  • Expansion of Child & Youth Services

The prestigious Gary A. Darling Grant will be awarded to one stand-out program applying for funding under the Alternatives & Interventions in Criminal Justice Targeted Grant.

“The 2022 Targeted Projects are a direct result of months of engagement, dialogue, and input from the three Behavioral Health Services community member advisory groups,” said Behavioral Health Services Director Laurie Stolen. “We rely on advisory group member input to steer our funding decisions to help ensure we meet the behavioral health needs of our community. The funding partnerships we have established through the Impact Fund have grown and deepened over the past three years. We look forward to continuing those relationships and making new partners to help address the most critical gaps in behavioral health treatment and services across Larimer County.”

Responsive Grants are also available and open to organizations that propose behavioral health programs/services for community needs that fall outside of the defined Targeted Grant areas.

BHS offers a streamlined grant application experience through its online grant portal and will be accepting applications until 5:00 p.m., July 1.

The Impact Fund Grant Program allows Larimer County to designate funding for behavioral health purposes and invest that funding back into the community through grants. To learn more and apply, visit the 2022 Impact Fund Grant Program.
