The Federal Emergency Management Agency's 90-day appeal period for preliminary floodplain mapping for portions of the Big Thompson and Cache la Poudre Rivers began on May 18, 2022, and runs through August 15.

Those who believe the preliminary mapping is scientifically or technically incorrect can submit scientific or technical information refuting the findings to the Larimer County Floodplain Administrator at eng-floodplain@larimer.org by July 8, who will then submit the information to FEMA. Final maps are expected to be adopted and effective in the summer or fall of 2023.
