Larimer County Treasurer & Public Trustee Irene Josey is asking property owners in Larimer County to watch your mail for the delivery of your 2023 payable in 2024 property tax statement or property tax postcard.

As you review your property tax bill, know that while you pay your taxes to the Treasurer’s Office, the Treasurer is tasked with disbursing the funds to the various taxing authorities associated with your property. Where you live in the county determines which taxing authorities serve you.

Visit the Treasurer’s website ( to:

  • If you don’t escrow your property taxes with your mortgage company, you can pay your taxes online (e-Checks are free, convenient, and secure; credit/debit cards for a fee). You have the option to pay your taxes in one full installment by April 30, or in two equal installments with the first half due by February 29, and the second half due by June 15.
  • Obtain property tax history and receipts for payments.
  • View and print your current year tax statement.

Payments can be mailed to Larimer County Treasurer & Public Trustee, P.O. Box 2336, Fort Collins, CO 80522. If you prefer to pay in person, you can use our 24-hour secure drop box located on the southwest corner of the Larimer County Courthouse offices at 200 West Oak St. Fort Collins, CO 80521, or in our office located on the second floor between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. To ensure proper credit, please reference your schedule number on your check.

159,865 tax statements will be mailed, including 158,074  real property, 3,127 personal property, 2,506 mobile homes, and 130 state-assessed tax statements. In addition, over 5,695 tax statement notice reminders will be sent to individuals via email who have signed up for electronic notices.

Nearly 86,969 of the notices are traditional full-page statements including payment coupons. Those remaining are postcards, reducing paper and costs for all taxpayers. Postcards are sent to property owners whose taxes have previously been paid through an escrow account by the mortgage company or properties that are tax-exempt. Does your mailing address need to be updated? One reason you may not receive your property tax statement could be that your mailing address is inaccurate in our records. To change your mailing address please visit our website.

Taxpayers who have business personal property taxes and would like to set up a payment plan are asked to call (970) 498-7023.
