The Social Work Research Center at Colorado State University has partnered with the Larimer County Department of Human Services to evaluate the Supported Families, Stronger Community (SFSC) Project.

If you work at a community agency and are looking for a brief overview of what we are evaluating, how we are evaluating it, and why the evaluation matters, you’ve come to the right place!

Check out the bullets below for the what, why, and how to complete the evaluation components when working with a family in this Initiative. If you already know what to do, but can’t seem to find the survey links, you can find all relevant evaluation links in the ‘helpful’ links box.

If you have any questions, please contact Casey Blackwatters at the CSU Social Work Research Center at casey.blackwatters@colostate.edu.

FAQs

  1. This evaluation aims to understand how this Initiative is being implemented ‘in real life,’ what is working well, and how we can work together to improve the ways that we support families across Larimer County. We use a variety of surveys, interviews, and focus groups to track the ways that community agencies work together and with families.

  2. Project evaluations bridge the research-practice gap by ensuring that all of our partners across the community have access to all of the project-related data in an effort to support continuous quality improvement in a and collaborative manner. We want to ensure that our community members and families have an opportunity to share their feedback on this Initiative via confidential surveys, interviews, and focus groups. By gathering this feedback, we can share it with the county and our partners and facilitate discussions about how to improve the ways that we support and work with families.
