First Reading of Proposed Parking Ordinance & Public Hearing
Larimer County is moving forward with a proposed ordinance regulating parking on public roads in unincorporated Larimer County. Based on community feedback, the Board of County Commissioners narrowed the scope of an earlier camping and parking proposal to focus only on parking.
The proposed ordinance addresses abandoned and inoperable vehicles and establishes a civil enforcement process. The ordinance has not been adopted.
The Board of County Commissioners will hold a first reading and public hearing on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 6 p.m. Community members may participate and provide public comment in person or virtually. Registration is required to participate via Zoom.
Visit the Larimer County Engagement Gateway project page to read the proposed ordinance, review frequently asked questions, learn about the public hearing, and find additional ways to provide feedback.
