The teams at Larimer County and SummitStone Health Partners are proud celebrate Larimer County's one-of-a-kind behavioral health facility and its new, soon-to-open adolescent unit.

Supported by dedicated behavioral health tax dollars, the Acute Care facility at Larimer County Behavioral Health Services Longview campus opened Dec. 2 2023. From that first day through the end of 2024, 3,818 unique clients received care -- ranging from behavioral health urgent care, crisis stabilization, withdrawal management, and substance-use treatment.

Youth have been able to get services at the 24/7/365 behavioral health urgent care since the facility opened. The new unit will add the option for overnight care for youth, ages 12-17, for up to seven days.

As part of a soft launch this fall, the Larimer County Department of Human Services will initially refer adolescent clients to the new unit. It will open to youth communitywide thereafter.

Please join us from 3:30-5 p.m. Sept. 15 for a celebratory event at the campus, 2260 W. Trilby Road, in Fort Collins, at the intersection of Taft Hill and Trilby roads. Trilby Road is closed for construction, so please plan accordingly.

  • 3:30-4:30 p.m. - Speeches at the tent in the parking lot; light refreshments will be provided
  • 4:30-5 p.m. - Open house and optional tours of the unit
