Northern Colorado Workforce Analysis

This Northern Colorado Labor Market Profile was developed to provide a comprehensive, data-driven analysis of the workforce dynamics within the Larimer and Weld Counties region.

Purpose of the Labor Market Profile

The primary objective of this quantitative study, conducted by TIP Strategies, Inc. , was to compile and integrate detailed findings from an extensive workforce data analysis. This work establishes a clear picture of the region's current talent supply, talent demand, and baseline economic characteristics.

By documenting the key findings of the Northern Colorado labor market, this profile is designed to help communities effectively develop talent, strengthen career pathways, and meet the long-term workforce needs of industry.

  • Informing Strategy: To provide context and evidence for the design of a forthcoming regional talent strategy led by the NoCo Works workforce development coalition.
  • Guiding Investment: To support the identification of workforce development priorities and guide decision-making about future investments in training and skills development.
  • Promoting Growth: To offer stakeholders tools, such as the Job Quality and Access (JQA) analysis, that provide a better understanding of job quality and accessibility to promote growth and opportunity across all sectors.

Project Partners and Authors

This Northern Colorado Labor Market Profile was prepared by TIP Strategies, Inc., and the underlying workforce data analysis was commissioned by the City of Fort Collins, Larimer County Economic & Workforce Development, and The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce.
