Introducing - Vendor 101!

Are you applying to be a vendor at the Larimer County Farmers' Market? Are you a veteran vendor who wants to learn more? Then our new class, Vendor 101, is for you!

Sign up for all 7 classes or just 1.  The course is free, but registration is required.  Registration for Vendor 101 will close on February 1st. 

Vendors are not required to attend Vendor 101, but we do encourage all new vendors to attend. Applications for the Larimer County Farmers' Market 2023 season open on January 16th.

Class Schedule:

Location: All classes are offered either virtually or in person at our office (1525 Blue Spruce Drive, Fort Collins, CO)
Time: All classes are from 6pm - 7pm

January 18th: Introduction to Manage My Market

  • Learning Objectives:
    • How to apply 
    • How to pay the application fee
    • How to upload documents and photos 
    • How the contact system works 

January 25th: Payment System / Rules & Regulations

  • Learning Objectives:
    • How to report sales 
    • How to access reported sales 
    • How payments are sent

February 1st: Social Media Marketing

  • Learning Objectives:
    • How the Larimer County Farmers' Market uses social media
    • The basics of social media
      • The different channels & how to decide what channels to use (or not)
      • How often to post
    • Tips to save you time
    • Q&A

February 8th: Sales Tax

  • Learning Objectives:
    • How to obtain a sales tax license
    • How to pay sales tax
    • Q&A with County Sales tax specialist

February 15th: Licensing 

  • Learning Objectives:
    • How to obtain a sales tax license
    • How to obtain a catering license
    • How to obtain a cottage foods license
    • How to obtain a retail food establishment license 
    • Q&A with David Menzies from the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment

February 22nd: Tent weight making & booth design

  • Learning Objectives:
    • How to  make tent weights to help protect your booth from the wind 
    • How to design an eye-catching booth

March 8th: Get to know the Vendors' Social

  • Get to know other vendors who will be selling in the 2023 Market season!
