What is the Regional Housing Needs Assessment?
Larimer County, Loveland, and Fort Collins are partnering on a Regional Housing Needs Assessment (HNA) to determine the greatest housing needs and better understand challenges faced by residents in finding and keeping stable housing. The HNA will be followed by jurisdictional Housing Action Plans (HAP) that identify strategies related to housing affordability, stability, and future growth. Not only will the HNA and future HAP help the County, Loveland, and Fort Collins better serve their communities, but completion also unlocks funding preferences from the State. Updates and Next Steps (as of December 2025)
- Thank you to those who participated in a community meeting, focus group, or survey! We appreciate your input and are currently working to summarize what we heard in the final report!
- Check back for more updates on the draft report (currently in development).
- Public hearing dates and opportunities to review the Draft Regional Housing Needs Assessment will be announced in late January or early February 2026.
