Do I have to sign-up for these insurances?
No, enrollment in VOYA's Accident and Critical Illness insurances is completely optional. Both plans are voluntary and supplemental, meaning you can choose to enroll if you feel the coverage meets your needs, but it is not required.

Will I need to re-enroll in these insurances during Open Enrollment?
Yes. If you wish to continue these supplemental insurances in 2026, you will need to re-enroll during the Open Enrollment period. This special enrollment only provides coverage for claims incurred between July 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025.

What if I have an accident on June 30, 2025?
Any claims incurred before July 1, 2025, must be submitted to SunLife. We encourage employees to file any current or outstanding claims with SunLife as soon as possible.

Can I enroll in just one of the plans, or do I have to choose both?
You may choose to enroll in one or both plans, depending on your needs. Enrollment is entirely voluntary.

Who is eligible to enroll in VOYA’s Accident and Critical Illness insurance?
All benefits-eligible employees are eligible to enroll in these voluntary, supplemental plans.

Do these plans replace my health insurance?
No. These are supplemental insurances and do not replace your primary health coverage. They provide additional financial protection in the event of a covered accident or critical illness.
