I am a learner that makes a difference in the world by providing life changing tools and resources so leaders can be their best. I believe everyone is a leader. Leadership doesn’t come with title or organizational structure. I believe it comes from how we show up and conduct ourselves in every interaction- both personally and professionally. One of the tools and resources I provide to leaders is that as a certified professional coach (CPC). As a coach I facilitate a space for a quality partnership that promotes learning, growth, self awareness, reflection, communication and conflict management, visioning, goal clarification, accountability, and exploring what it means to “be my best”. I support leaders (and per my definition this means everyone) to become the leader they have always wanted to be.

As an HR Professional, with over 25 years of experience supporting leaders and employees at various levels of an organization, I know how important it is to balance and develop the head and heart. It is difficult to be an effective leader if you don’t experience, share, and develop both.

The head is our thinking and logical part that keeps us compliant to laws, rules, and regulations that we experience within our professional and industry specific worlds. It is often the first area that we develop as leaders, being able to check all the boxes and make sure action is appropriate and effective when it comes to work. Often this is where leaders stay. This creates effective productivity in the short-term, but it doesn’t sustain in the long-term, and sometimes leaves us feeling like we are missing something important or feeling incomplete.

The heart is the caring, humanizing, connective tissue that builds great teams that surpass goals and outcomes. It is what creates value, belonging, and respect in the workplace. It adds value in a different and sometimes difficult to measure way. I propose that this is what transforms good leaders to great leaders. The heart allows individuals and our team to show up as they are. It allows us to acknowledge and validate that our work and personal lives are connected and do impact each other. We are not robots programmed to do a task. We are beings that are meant to feel and connect.

When a leader can engage both their head and heart, they experience an ease of flow and energy. They are open, curious, and innovative. They create rather than react. Their energy is contagious, and others begin to wonder what sets them apart. They get noticed because they show up differently. They speak candidly, respectfully, and unarguably. They honor agreements. They are curious and open. They operate from above the line and are conscious and self-aware, which allows them to see others differently too.

Through our sessions, I will support you to become the leader you’ve always wanted to be. Not only will these sessions impact you professionally, but you’ll see how they will impact your personal life in a positive way too.
