Explore Employee Engagement Groups and discover ways to connect with colleagues across Larimer County.
Employee Engagement Groups (EEGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups that bring Larimer County employees together around shared interests, experiences, or goals. EEGs are designed to foster connection, encourage dialogue, and support personal and professional growth.
EEGs are open to everyone. You do not need to identify with a specific background or role to participate; if a group interests you, you are welcome to join.
EEGs support Larimer County’s Guiding Principles by promoting collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and a respectful, engaging workplace culture. Through participation in EEGs, employees may:
Build meaningful connections across departments
Develop leadership, communication, and networking skills
Gain new perspectives and professional growth opportunities
Support a positive, inclusive workplace culture
Joining an EEG is easy and open to all Larimer County employees, including full-time, part-time, temporary employees, and interns.
How to join:
Visit the Collaborations tile in the Learning Center (Absorb)
Review the list of EEGs open for membership
Contact the EEG leader listed for the group you’re interested in
Once added, you’ll gain access to the group’s Collaboration space for updates and connection.
Participation in EEGs is unpaid. You do not need supervisor approval to join a group. If meetings or activities occur during work hours, you may need to coordinate scheduling and workload expectations with your supervisor.

Getting started:
Email Nicole Berg, Learning Administrator, at bergnd@co.larimer.co.us to express your interest
Participate in a brief meeting to discuss:
A potential group name or connection point
The purpose or goal of the EEG
When, where, and how the group may meet
Required EEG leader training will be assigned in the Learning Center. Once training is complete, the EEG can open for membership and begin meeting.
EEG leaders serve as ambassadors for their groups and are responsible for creating welcoming, respectful spaces for all members.

Available County resources include:
Meeting rooms for in-person gatherings

If an EEG plans an event outside of regular meetings, the EEG leader should contact the Employee Experience Advisory Council (EEAC) for coordination and support. The EEAC provides guidance, recommendations, and may assist with promotion or collaboration.
All EEG activities, meetings, and communications must follow Larimer County policies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity and Unlawful Harassment Policy. EEG leaders and members are responsible for maintaining welcoming, respectful environments.
