Establish a culture in which employees are informed, heard, and connected to be able to carry out their job duties in support of both department and county goals and objectives.

CONNECTED:

Provide employees with resources to stay connected with one another and the objectives of the Larimer County organization, as well as recognize employees who have gone above and beyond in their roles.

Projects and Tasks:

Create clear procedures for the Employee of the Month, Innovation Awards, Employee Kudos, and Stepping Up recognition programs. 

Projected Timeline: August - October 2021

Well thought out, structured, and highly promoted recognition is an important component of internal relationship building and can be incredibly motivational to many individuals.

Tasks:

  • Clearly identify the expectations of each program and where employees can find nomination forms.
  • Create a prominent space on the newly designed Bulletin Board to promote employee recognition.
  • Add a comments section to each recognition where other employees can also leave encouraging words.

Projected Timeline: October - December 2021

Create an Employee Recognition Celebration with the Commissioners and Larimer County leadership where award winners are celebrated for their achievements.

Tasks:

  • Work with Larimer County leadership to plan, promote, and execute a special awards recognition for winners of the Innovation Awards, Employee of the Month, and the Stepping Up awards.
  • Prepare and present a video of the year’s accomplishments focused on the people that made those accomplishments happen. 

Projected Timeline: Spring 2022

There is nothing that creates a sense of unity more than recognizing other Larimer County employees outside of work. Create a Larimer County store where employees can purchase Larimer County branded clothing and accessories, such as water bottles, hats, sweatershirts, pullovers, etc.

Tasks:

  • Create a Larimer County policy ensuring proper County representation.
  • Find an online store vendor to create Larimer County items.
  • Market and promote the Larimer County store to employees.

Projected Timeline: August - December 2022.
