Establish a culture in which employees are informed, heard, and connected to be able to carry out their job duties in support of both department and county goals and objectives.

HEARD:

Provide employees with successful engagement tools, and create channels for employee feedback, suggestions, and concerns.

Projects and Tasks:

These outlets are great resources for employees and are important to internal communication success. However, it has been lost in the sea of communication and many individuals have unsubscribed to it. 

Tasks:

  • Adopt the policy that states employees may not unsubscribe. 
  • Pull the unsubscribe report once per month, resubscribe those employees, and send a friendly reminder that employees cannot unsubscribe from Priority.
  • During the Bulletin Board redesign, ensure What’s Up With That and Ask HR have prominent locations on the new layout.

Projected Timeline: Ongoing

Employee engagement is vital to the success of Larimer County and surveys are one way to create and maintain open communication. Create a marketing plan to highlight UKG's survey tool which can help department and division heads reach out to their departments and engage with their staff.

Projected Timeline: 4th Quarter of 2021

Create a new Live Chat feature allowing employees to ask questions of Internal Support Services and receive a timely response. The Live Chat would likely be hosted on the Bulletin Board and manned by the Internal Communications team.
