Natural Resources Director Gary Buffington received this thank you from community members regarding their visit to Hermit Park

Hi Gary,

I just wanted to pass on some kudos to Diane and the folks in the office at Hermit Park.   We went up there camping this weekend as walk in's, since reservation season was over.  There was some confusion over what sites were available, especially after last week's snowfall up here.  We were meeting some friends for the weekend and it looked like there wasn't going to be space.

Diane was great, and got us set up in a spot and then followed up with the ops staff to see if the rest of the campground would be open.  She took our phone number and went out of her way to accommodate us.

We ran into one of the Ranger's on duty who obviously loves his job, and he was friendly and very personable.  I also noticed the many improvements going on up there; bear boxes, restrooms, new trail.  Very nice.

We just wanted pass on our gratitude and thank you and your staff for the great customer service,

Appreciation email from a community member regarding Larimer County's partnership with CSU Extension

Relatively recently my wife and I had a need for a solution to a backyard lawn issue.  After consulting numerous commercial firms in the area we had many conflicting and confusing recommendations.

A co-worker and a customer at my place of employment both recommended The Larimer County and CSU Extension Program.  Their recommendations included a personal one to Alison O'Connor, PhD, a professor at CSU and on the staff at Larimer County.  Dr. O'Connor also recommended Tony Koski, PhD, also a professor at CSU and on the staff at Larimer County.

Dr. O'Connor read my explanation of our back lawn issue, asked for pictures and went to work.  Dr. O'Connor and Dr. Koski visited our property together.  After reading the other commercial firms they formulated a knowledgeable report on resolving our issues.

They were never negative toward the other commercial interests but very positive and informative,

I appreciate your relationship with the CSU Extension and Dr. Alison O'Connor and Dr. Tony Koski.  This is a great community resource.  Thank you.
