Larimer County Administrative Services, District Attorney, and Courts will be closed on November 11, 2024, to celebrate the Veterans’ Day holiday. Landfill will be open.
Critical county services are not disrupted by closures.
If you live in an area where curbside recycling is not available (or even if you do!), you may utilize these recycling drop-off centers. Recycling containers at most of these locations are separated by material type.
Computers and electronics can be recycled for a fee at the Electronics Recycling scale house, just north of the recycling bins. Please see Electronics Recycling for more information and fees.
Can I recycle appliances?
Large appliances are recycled near the landfill's disposal area. Regular landfill fees are charged, which may include a freon removal fee, if appropriate.
Can I recycle ink cartridges?
In an effort to place fewer plastics into our landfill, the Solid Waste Department has developed a partnership to recycle inkjet and laser jet cartridges. If you're currently throwing away your used cartridges, please consider dropping them off instead at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility at the Landfill, 5887 S. Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins, open Monday-Saturday (except Wednesdays), from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
