Health Department Retires Sections of the COVID-19 Data Dashboard

Due to the changing landscape of the pandemic, including the recent ending of the local disaster declaration, the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment has retired several sections of the COVID-19 Data Dashboard. 

The dashboard, which was developed in early 2020 to allow residents to track COVID-19 trends in Larimer County, has been viewed nearly 7 million times and will continue to host the most commonly viewed features and data. Residents that frequently visit the dashboard will still find the CDC Community Level meter, 7-day case rate, weekly data about hospital admissions and capacity, and the total number of deaths. 

The sub-pages of the dashboard with additional details about individual cases and deaths have been removed. The local outbreak and vaccination data have also been removed and links to publicly available data at both the state and county level are now provided. Data that has been removed from the Larimer County dashboard is archived and accessible for those looking for past data. 

“The dashboard is being updated to ensure that the information provided is relevant to the stage of the pandemic that we’re currently in,“ says Tom Gonzales, Larimer County Public Health Director. “The goal of the dashboard has always been to help residents assess their level of risk and follow local trends, and we’ll continue to make sure they can do just that.”  

Gonzales states that one of the most important trends to watch is hospital capacity. “Since the  start of the pandemic, our priorities have been to keep the community healthy and to prevent overwhelming our healthcare system.”

El Departamento de Salud retirará secciones del Tablero de Datos de COVID 19

Debido a los cambios en el panorama de la pandemia, incluyendo la finalización de la declaración de desastre local, el Departamento de Salud y Medioambiente del condado de Larimer ha retirado varias secciones del Tablero de Datos  del COVID 19. 

El tablero de datos, el cual se creó al principio del 2020 para permitirle a los residentes seguir las tendencias del COVID 19 en el condado de Larimer, ha sido ha sido visto casi 7 millones de veces y seguirá mostrando las funciones y los datos más consultados.

Las páginas secundarias del tablero de datos que contienen detalles adicionales sobre los casos individuales y las muertes han sido removidas. La información sobre la  epidemia y la vacunación  a nivel local también han sido removidos  y se proveerán enlaces a dicha información a nivel estatal y del condado. La información que ha sido removida del tablero de datos del condado de Larimer se ha archivado y estará disponible para aquellos que deseen buscar información sobre datos históricos de la pandemia.

"El tablero de datos se está actualizando para garantizar que la información proporcionada sea relevante para la etapa de la pandemia en la que nos encontramos actualmente", dice Tom Gonzales, Director de Salud Pública del Condado de Larimer. "El objetivo del tablero siempre ha sido ayudar a los residentes a evaluar su nivel de riesgo y seguir las tendencias locales, y continuaremos asegurándonos de que puedan hacer precisamente eso".

Gonzales afirma que una de las tendencias más importantes que hay que vigilar es la capacidad de los hospitales. "Desde el comienzo de la pandemia, nuestras prioridades han sido mantener sana a la comunidad y evitar que se sature nuestro sistema de salud".
