Larimer County Road 70 and County Road 9 Roadway Improvements Project
In August, road improvements to the County Road [CR] #70 [Owl Canyon Rd.] and CR#9 Roadway Improvement Project begin as part of the Roadway Improvements Project.
The improvements include widening and/or paving CR #70 from #CR9 across Interstate 25 to CR #5.
The improvements on CR #9 include widening or paving from CR #70 to two miles south of CR #82 [Buckeye Road]. The project also includes replacing six bridges – box culverts throughout the project, a new single-lane rural roundabout at the CR #70 – CR #9 intersection, and realignment of the CR #70/7-5J intersection.
Four paved detours will be installed at different locations along the project to construct the new bridges, box culverts, and intersection improvements.
Traffic delays should be expected throughout the life of the project, but all roads will remain open to traffic at all times. Alternative routes are suggested during construction.
