Man Injured in Paraglider Crash
A man was injured after crashing his paraglider in a Larimer County field Monday night.
On June 30, 2025 around 7:15 p.m., Loveland Police Dispatch received multiple reports of a paraglider crash north of Loveland. Larimer County Rangers, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, and Thompson Valley EMS responded to the area near Highway 287 and West 71st Street.
First responders located the adult male pilot and his gear in a field. The man was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The glider operator was flying solo, and no other injuries have been reported.
The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Authority were consulted; however, based on the nature of the gear and incident, the investigation will remain with local authorities. Larimer County Natural Resources manages the land where the crash occurred and will lead the investigation.
