A suspect is in custody on charges related to a stabbing at a Wellington hotel.

Just before 5 p.m. on October 15, 2025, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a 9-1-1 report of a stabbing in the 7800 block of 6th Street. The caller said two men had been arguing in the hotel lobby when the suspect, later identified as Dominic Alley (DOB 01/16/95) of Wellington, stabbed the victim.

Deputies quickly arrived on scene and located both the victim and the suspect, who had separated. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening lacerations. Witnesses told deputies that the suspect made derogatory racial comments during the initial argument. Alley was taken into custody and booked into the Larimer County Jail on the following charges:

  • Second Degree Assault - Cause Injury with Deadly Weapon (class 4 felony)
  • Bias Motivated Crime with Bodily Injury (class 4 felony)
  • Felony Menacing (class 5 felony)

A booking photo is attached. Alley was issued a $75,000 cash/surety bond by the Larimer County Court.

The charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until, and unless, proven guilty.
