The 2023 Larimer County Budget is now available on the Budget website here. The 2023 Adopted Budget has total expenditures of $671.6 million, including $381.6 million in operational expenses and $162.7 million for capital projects.
Larimer County has submitted its 2022 Third-Quarter Project and Expenditure Report on its use of Fiscal Recovery Funds. These funds, of which Larimer County was allocated $69.3 million, were provided through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).
Larimer County has made available on its website two reports related to the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) that were required to be submitted by July 31, 2022.
Larimer County on April 29 submitted its Quarterly Compliance Report, explaining its use of State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) under the American Rescue Plan Act. The Compliance Report shows that Larimer County has expended just over $9.5 million of its $69.3 million SLFRF allocation.
The Larimer County Budget Explorerhas been updated with 2022 budgets and tax info. Residents are invited to take a deep dive deep into the county's 27 distinct departments and elected offices' finances. The Budget Explorer includes “taxpayer receipts” that show how sales and property taxes support government programs. You can also select specific locations to see how rates and taxing districts change based on where you live or shop. A capital project tracker also provides past and future spending on some of the county's biggest projects.
The 2022 Proposed Larimer County Budget is now available for review at Larimer.org/budget/2022-proposed-budget. It includes $639.7 million in budgeted expenditures, of which $326.7 million is for general operations, $205.1 million is for capital projects, and $7.1 million is for disaster recovery.
Based on the Board of County Commissioners’ priorities and direction, Larimer County Manager Linda Hoffmann released the Proposed Larimer County 2021 Budget on October 15, 2020. The Proposed 2021 Budget is $581.8 Million which includes a Proposed 2021 Operating Budget of $286.8 Million and a 2021 Capital Improvements Budget of $185.9 Million.
