Back-to-School Immunization Clinics

Community Clinics

The Larimer County Department of Health & Environment is offering low- or no-cost vaccines for children ages 4 and older and their families who are uninsured, underinsured, or enrolled in most Medicaid plans. Vaccine clinics will be held at schools across the community to provide the following:

  • Children: All school-required vaccines (based on supplies).
  • Adults: Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccine which protects against measles
  • Flu and COVID-19 vaccines: Vaccine availability may vary by event.

Please note:

  • Not eligible: Private insurance and CHP+ are not accepted at these clinics
  • What to bring: Previous vaccine records and any school-issued vaccine letters
  • You may be asked to schedule an appointment at one of our clinic locations if available slots or vaccine supplies are limited upon your arrival.

  1. What vaccinations are required by schools?

    The following vaccines are either required by area schools or strongly recommended for school-aged children:

    Required

    • Dtap
    • Polio (IPV)
    • Hepatitis B
    • Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR)
    • Varicella
    • Tdap 

    Recommended

    • HPV
    • Meningococcal
    • Flu
    • COVID

  2. How do I know which vaccinations my child needs?

    If your child received vaccinations in the State of Colorado, you can review your child's vaccination records through the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS)

  3. Who is eligible to receive vaccinations during the Back-to-School clinics?

    Our community vaccine clinics serve children and families who are uninsured, underinsured, or enrolled in Medicaid. Unfortunately we are unable to serve individuals with private insurance or who have CHP+ 

    During our community clinics we will be providing the following vaccinations:

    • Children: All school-required vaccines (based on supplies).
    • Adults: MMR vaccine which protects against measles
    • All eligible participants can request Flu and COVID-19 vaccines as supply allows

     

  4. What do I need to bring with me to a Back-to-School vaccination event?

    Please come to the vaccination event with previous vaccine records and any school-issued vaccine letters for each child. If your child received vaccinations in the state of Colorado, you can find their immunization records through the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS).
