Creating a safe and supportive community for women that fosters the Courage to Change

Courage to change for the women in our programs to challenge themselves to reach for new opportunities, to believe in who they are moving forward and to embrace change that can often feel uncomfortable or scary.

Courage to recognize that the past does not define who they are and what they will be in the future. It is this change that will guide them to find the person they know they have the potential to become.

Not only is this mantra courage to change for the women who are under our supervision, but also for our staff. Courage to think outside the box. To look at our justice involved women clients with a different lens. A lens that looks at the whole person using trauma informed care and a gender responsive approach.

Our staff at Alternative Sentencing and Community Corrections will be working alongside one another as a unified team to make our programs successful and to a create a positive approach and path for these women so they are ready and armed with the skills and resources when they transition back into the community.
