Notice of Logic and Accuracy Testing

Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes 1-7-509, the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder Elections Department will conduct a public logic and accuracy test of voting equipment on October 8, 2024. For specific information regarding the time and place of this test, please contact the Larimer County Elections office at 970-498-7820.

2024 General Election

Key Dates

  • September 20, 2024: TABOR comments are due by 12 PM.
  • September 21, 2024: Ballots begin being mailed out to overseas voters.
  • September 23, 2024: In-house ballot issuance is available at the Elections Office. 
  • October 11, 2024: Ballots begin being mailed out to domestic voters. 
  • October 21, 2024: Voter Service & Polling Centers (VSPCs) begin to open in waves. 
    • At a VSPC, you can: vote in-person, obtain a replacement mail ballot, deliver your voted mail ballot, register to vote, change your address, or vote on an ADA accessible voting machine. 
    • As of this date, in-house ballot issuance will no longer be available at the Elections Office. 
  • October 28, 2024: The last day the County Clerk's Office can mail you a replacement ballot. 
  • November 5, 2024: Election Day. The County Clerk's Office must receive your ballot by 7 PM on Election Day. Postmarks do not count as a received date. 
  • November 13, 2024: Deadline for voters to cure mail ballots with signature discrepancies, missing signatures, or missing IDs (for ID required mail ballots).

Notice of Logic and Accuracy (LAT) 

Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes 1-7-509, the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder Elections Department will conduct a public logic and accuracy test of voting equipment to occur on October 8, 2024. The purpose of this test is to determine that Larimer County’s voting machines accurately record valid votes and properly process overvotes and undervotes. Representatives from political parties, members of the press and the general public are welcome to observe the testing. TABOR Notice

Comments concerning local ballot issues must be submitted by 12 PM on September 20, 2024 in order to be included in the Ballot Issue Notice.

All submissions must be provided to the designated election official (DEO) and must include: 

  • The name of the specific ballot issue
  • Comments for the specific ballot issue
  • The submitter's signature
  • Address where the submitter is registered to vote

Please also include:

  • The name of political subdivision
  • The ballot number
  • Whether comments are in opposition or support of the issue
  • The submitter's printed name
  • The submitter's contact information

Larimer County will accept comments for the following ballot issues: 

  • Ballot Issue 1A (Larimer County)
  • Ballot Issue 6A (Larimer County Poudre Overlook Public Improvement District No. 30)
  • Ballot Issue 6B (Larimer County Vine Drive Public Improvement District No. 29)
  • Ballot Issue 6C (Larimer County Grayhawk Knolls Public Improvement District No. 43)
  • Ballot Issue 6D (Larimer County Tanager Public Improvement District No. 72)
  • Ballot Issue 6E (Larimer County Fox Ridge Estates Public Improvement District No. 79)

Comments can be sent to the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder via email (elections@larimer.gov), mail (PO Box 1547, Fort Collins, CO, 80522), or fax (970-498-7847). 

For information on submitting comments for another district's ballot issue, please contact the Larimer County Elections team at elections@larimer.gov or 970-498-7820. 

The DEO for the ballot issue will retain all comments as election records. Only comments filed by eligible electors in the DEO's political subdivision will be summarized in the Ballot Issue Notice.
