How does the Graffiti Ordinance Work?
Your property has been vandalized by graffiti. The county recognizes you are the victim and investigates all reported graffiti sightings. Code Compliance can assist the Property Caretaker (owner, tenant, lessee) in the removal of the graffiti, but ultimately, it is the Property Caretaker’s responsibility to remove the graffiti.
Graffiti vandalism affects the entire County. We are all victims from the damage that detracts from the County’s image—graffiti sends a signal that nobody cares, attracting other forms of crime and street delinquency to neighborhoods.
We all want a clean and safe community to live in. We need your help in removing graffiti as soon as possible so it does not attract more criminal activity.
You must remove the graffiti within ten (10) days from the date of Notice to Remove Graffiti. You may voluntarily agree to allow Larimer County to remove the graffiti with the understanding you will be billed for the costs.
Costs If The County Removes Graffiti
- Costs of graffiti removal; and
