SCOPE OF WORK
Widening and reconstruction of 2 miles of roadway along Owl Canyon Road (CR 9 to CR 13). Improvements include:
- 6 to 8 foot paved shoulders
- culvert & structure crossing replacements
- utility relocations
- subgrade stabilization
- detour route using CR 72 between CR 11 and CR 15 is anticipated for when CR 70 between CR 11 and CR 13 is under construction
PURPOSE
This project is planned due to:
- pavement rehabilitation
- safety and shoulder widening improvements
This project phase will end just east of the south leg of CR 13
BUDGET
$10,000,000.00
$1,000,000 federal aid grant
PROJECT STATUS
- design engineering consultant hired (SEH, Inc.)
- construction (CR 9 to CR 11) is yet to be determined
- construction (CR 11 to CR 13) is expected in 2026
- landowner meetings in progress
- public open house date to be determined
- CDOT required clearance and approvals:
- environmental
- right-of-way plans
- utility relocations
- overall design
