Remembering Lives Lost:
Larimer County's Tribute to Victims of Fatal Crashes
The Larimer County Memorial Signing Program honors people who have lost their lives in car accidents on county-maintained roads outside city limits by placing a sign at or near the crash site. These signs serve as a tribute to the victims and a reminder for everyone to drive safely.
To qualify for the Memorial Signing Program, the following must be true:
- The accident happened within the last 6 years
- The accident occurred on a County-maintained main road
- The accident resulted in a death
- No immediate family member objects, in writing, to the memorial sign
- If the person who died was an intoxicated driver (from alcohol or drugs), the sign will say "Sponsored by (family name or applicant)" and will not include the driver's name
A non-refundable fee of $200.00 is required at the time of application.
