Leave it to Beavers

There is a new beaver in town! Come join us to learn all about this amazing animal and how they became the controversial neighbor they are. Beavers influence their surroundings in ways that heal watersheds but also can be a nuisance. As beavers spread out in adaptation to their changing surroundings, which including our own urban community; it's important for us to learn about their behavior, as well as how and why to appropriately deal with the challenges of living with urban beavers.

This program is best suited for ages 16 yrs and older.

We will meet at the picnic tables at the River Bluffs Trailhead. Carpooling is recommended as parking is limited. Flush toilets and potable water available at the trailhead.

Walk: You will be moving about .3 miles on the The Poudre Trail which is classified as an easy and accessible trail. We will be moving at a slow paced hike in order to stop and discuss. The program starts off the paved trail but can be adapted to support different abilities.
• Fully paved.

Participants should bring:
• Sun protection (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen)
• Wear comfortable hiking/walking shoes (closed-toe recommended)
• Water
• Insect repellant
• Clothing appropriate for the weather
• Backpack (to carry it all)
