Fire restrictions in effect through Sept. 2

Due to above-normal temperatures and windy dry conditions, Larimer County is under fire restrictions through September 2, 2025. Restrictions are for combustible devices, uncontained open fires, incendiary devices, and fireworks in unincorporated areas above 6,000 feet. In addition, smoking in the open is not allowed, including on trails, parks and open spaces.  Camping and cooking fires in contained firepits in developed camping areas are allowed.  For the complete ordinance, visit this link: larimer.gov/spotlights/2025/08/7/larimer-county-adopts-fire-restrictions
