Community Donation Requests
Larimer County Department of Natural Resources (LCDNR) is happy to support 501c3 non-profit organizations and any K-12 public or private school in Larimer County through this online donation request form. Please understand that due to the high volume of requests, LCDNR is unable to approve every request.
Criteria for approved donations directly links to the mission of Department of Natural Resources. Our mission is to connect people, nature, and place. Your organization must have a 501c(3) designation, or be a public or private K-12 school in Larimer County. Your organization can only apply once per calendar year (Jan-Dec). We do not give out cash/monetary donations, no exceptions. Donation requests must be for a silent auction event only (i.e., it must raise money for the organization's mission in the community) and cannot be used as a prize or reward. Submittals must be received at least 30 days in advance of your event. Telephone calls, personal staff requests, or follow-up emails about requests will not be accepted.
Areas we support include:
- open spaces and natural areas
- land and resource conservation
- rivers, trails, wildlife
- nature-based outdoor recreation
- utilizing nature for community health and/or well-being
- environmental responsibility and/or natural resource stewardship
Areas we do not support include:
- anything outside of the areas outlined above, and,
- political parties or campaigns
- annual conferences/conventions
- gifts to individuals
- religious organizations
- research projects
- go fund me campaigns
LCDNR offers one (1) annual resident permit pass (value $100) as its donation per requesting organization.
