Who is Eligible for Career Transition & Training Program Services?
WIOA programs offered by the Career Transition and Training Team at LCEWD serve individuals age 18+.
Eligibility categories currently being served include:
- Veterans or eligible spouses of a veteran who are public assistance recipients or low-income individuals.
- Unemployed Larimer County resident who is a public assistance recipient or low-income individual (SNAP, TANF, LEAP, CCAP, Housing, SSI)
Individuals who have been laid off through no fault of their own, are monetarily eligible for unemployment insurance (UI), AND are unlikely to return to similarly skilled work, which is generally documented by 6-weeks of a UI+ pr personal job search log indicating active job search without an offer of employment.
Other eligible dislocated workers may be defined as:
- Individuals impacted by a permanent business closure. Individuals who are self employed and the business has permanently closed.
- Displaced Homemaker defined as an individual who has been providing unpaid services to family members in the home and has been solely dependent on the income of another family member but is no longer supported by that income. Generally, through a legal separation, divorce, death or layoff.
- RESEA individuals (UI mandated).
- Military Spouse due to a change of duty station orders.
- Transitioning Military defined as those Veterans within 12 months of separating or 24 months of retirement.
- Recently Separated Veterans defined as Veterans within 36 months of discharge.
- Individuals who are TAA entitled.
