Interns will be paid $17 per hour beginning in June for a total of 250 hours to be completed by the end of the summer.

Escorts/transports residents to/from activities/meals with assistance if necessary. Performs snack and water pass. Stocks and refills condiments. Sets up dining room for meal service. Fills in as Wait Staff, assisting with dining room table service during meal times as directed by the Chef and Facility Manager. Performs laundry duties. Performs manicures for residents. Assists with between meal nourishments when indicated. Maintains high sanitary standards. Removes and replaces bed linens in a timely fashion.

Skills Gained: Foundation skills for an entry-level PCP including basic clinical skills, care taking skills, vocabulary and terminology related to assisted living services. Providing excellent and timely resident care as an assistant to PCPs, CNAs, and Nursing staff.

 Peer specialists are people who share their lived experience to come alongside people with similar experiences and advocate for what the client finds meaningful in their lives and what goals they want to work on.  This position will be helping to develop a youth peer program at SummitStone, focused on youth with behavioral health challenges. Candidate may be participating in groups, meeting with youth clients, participating in supervision and  team meetings with agency  peer specialists, giving feedback on what a peer program for youth could look like, participating in Wonder Camp (therapeutic summer camp), etc.
