• "I am forever grateful that I reached out for support and asked for help. I honestly don't think I would be sober if not for your help. Please tell your team that you all are making a difference in people's lives." This individual has also been 8 weeks sober now! SFSC was also able to help pay for one month of housing dues so that she could have enough money to pay for the treatment center she was accessing. 
   
• "[The individual referred] said she was able to talk to you today. Thank you so much. Two months ago she was starting to lose hope. She sounded really good this afternoon.  I think you may have brought a glimmer of hope back to her life." From a community partner who made a referral.
   
• SFSC was able to use funding to help provide a day planner/ journal for an individual, and she was so excited to use it! She was able to make sure she attended all appointments, set long and short-term goals for herself, and reflect on her intentions for the future. She said, "I truly wanted to say thank you again for the journal. I am in love with it and you have been such a kind person!"
   
• "I met with the family today, and they said 'Elise [SFSC] is amazing and fabulous and has helped us so much!' From a community partner.
   
• "This is the first time I have seen this family at peace and regulated. SFSC makes a difference in people's lives; keep up the good work!" From a community partner after SFSC helped provide payment for housing for two weeks.
   
• “Thank you so much for helping me through all of this. I wouldn’t be able to navigate it without you. Please help me find a program similar to yours in Colorado Springs that can help us. Also, if you come to the Springs, please stop by our house for coffee.” From a client after receiving the housing voucher and moving to Colorado Spring (Originally in Arabic):

  "شكرا جزيلا الك و للبرنامج بتاعك لمساعدتك لعائلتنا. ماكان اكدر اسوي اي شي من دون مساعدتك. اذا تكدر تساعدني تلاقي برنامج مماثل لبرنامجكم في كولورادو سبرينغز لمساعدتنا. همين اذا صارت لك جيه ل كولورادو سبرينغز تعال لبيتنا حتى تشرب قهوه. 

• “Before we met you, we felt like our neck was in a noose. We were lost and had no support that could understand our language and culture. We feel happy and supported every time we meet with you and you are our only hope." From a client (Originally in Arabic):

قبل مالتقيتا بيك, حسينا اكو حبل ع رقبتنا. كنا ضايعين ومافي احد يفهم لغتنا وحضارتنا. كلما نلتقي بيك نشعر بالسعادة والأمل والاطفال يحبون يشوفوك"

That has been such a positive connection point, and a really pleasant (and efficient!) way to get updates from community partners. I’ve also been so glad to have you as a referral partner. I think it means a lot to our local families to know that there is a resource like SFSC out there to support them. I hope that you all continue to receive the grant funding needed to continue your programming and services.
