These are the types of permits offered for commercial photography or filming at Larimer County Parks and Open Spaces:
- A one-time photography permit (valid for specified date; starts at $25 and is dependent upon potential impact to park resources)
- A one-time film permit (valid for specified date(s); starts at $250 and is dependent upon the number of days needed and potential impact to park resources)
- An annual photography permit (valid for one year from date of payment; starts at $150 and is dependent upon potential impact to park resources)
Permit Applications
Film and photography permits are valid only at Larimer County Parks or Open Spaces and not at local natural areas, state, or national parks/forests. Vehicle entrance permits, where required, will be charged in addition to the film or photography permit. No drones are allowed on any Larimer County Parks or Open Spaces and regulations require all participants to stay on the trails.
All applications must be accompanied by a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming Larimer County as a certificate holder and as additionally insured on the applicant's insurance policy. General liability limits should be no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate. The certificate holder information should appear as:

If your business has employees that will be participating in the photography session we require Workers’ Compensation Documentation to be attached to the application. If there will only be one employee or you are a sole proprietor of the business, please sign and attach the Larimer County Workers’ Compensation Waiver form.
Applications should be submitted a minimum of 30 days before film or photography starts. The appropriate personnel will review your application and determine cost. You will then receive an invoice via email if your permit is approved.
