There are two main types of permits for portrait or commercial use photography or filming at Larimer County Parks and Open Spaces:

A single use, one-time permit (starts at $25 per use and is dependent upon the length of time needed and potential impact to park resources), or

An annual permit good for one year from the date of purchase ($150).

Permit Applications

Film and photography permits are valid only at Larimer County Parks or Open Spaces and not at local natural areas, state, or national parks/forests. Vehicle entrance permits, where required, will be charged in addition to the film or photography permit. No drones are allowed on any Larimer County Parks or Open Spaces and regulations require you and your subjects to stay on the trails.

All applications must be accompanied by a Certificate of Insurance (COI) naming Larimer County Natural Resources as an additional insured on the applicant's insurance policy. General liability limits should be no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 general aggregate. Please include the following information on your COI:

Larimer County, Department of Natural Resources, 1800 S. County Road 31, Loveland, CO 80537

Applications should be submitted a minimum of 30 days before film or photography starts. The appropriate personnel will review your application and determine cost. You will then receive a fee worksheet/invoice via email if your permit is approved.
