Search Warrants
Before submitting any search warrant to the courts the District Attorney's office must first review
- Locate the correct template from the search warrant pages
- Follow the instructions in the template to remove what isn't needed from the template
- All submissions should be sent to warrants@co.larimer.co.us and the DA Office will respond within 5 business hours
- After DA Office approval, follow the steps on the court’s e-warrant coversheet and email the search warrant to larimercourts@judicial.state.co.us and cc DA office at warrants@co.larimer.co.us
- A court cover sheet, search warrant, and affidavit are needed for submission the court
- Search warrants do not need to be notarized; the Judge will call to swear officer in
Urgent Search Warrants
Follow the first three steps above and then do the following
- Mark urgent on the Court's e-warrant coversheet and on the email to the DA Office.
- Mark urgent only when law enforcement is ready to take action on the search warrant at the time it is submitted, not at later date
- State why it is urgent in the body of the email
- Search warrants do not need to be notarized; the Judge will call to swear officer in
- During business hours (8am -5pm Monday through Friday) call (970) 498-7200 and tell our office you submitted an urgent search warrant
