Suspect Arrested in Fatal Berthoud Shooting
A suspect has been arrested for a fatal shooting in Berthoud.
On April 28, 2025 around 11:20 p.m., Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch center received a 911 call about a shooting in the 500 block of First Street. The caller reported that an adult female had been shot inside her home. LCSO deputies and a nearby Colorado State Patrol trooper responded and immediately began providing first aid. Unfortunately, the woman died at the scene. Several other people were in the house at the time of the shooting. No other injuries have been reported. The Larimer County Coroner’s Office will release the woman’s name at a later time.
After collecting evidence and gathering information, investigators identified Ebenezer Worku (DOB 04/11/05) of Denver as the suspect. He was arrested on May 1 and booked into the Larimer County Jail for First Degree Murder - Extreme Indifference (F1). A booking photo is attached. Worku was issued a $1.25 million cash-only bond by the Larimer County Court.
