Fall Warrant Clearance and Community Resource Event is Back in Fort Collins
A warrant clearance and community resource fair will be held at the Larimer County Justice Center at 201 Laporte Ave. Fort Collins, CO on Saturday, November 15th from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. No criminal arrests will be made for those attending the event.
Over the last two years, over 300 open warrants were cleared, and hundreds of defendants were brought back into the criminal justice system. This event is sponsored by the 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, the Office of the State Public Defender, the 8th Judicial District Judicial Branch, and the Fort Collins Municipal Court. The Community Resource Fair is hosted by Larimer County Community Justice Alternatives.
Offenses eligible for warrant clearance are:
- Misdemeanor, Traffic, and Petty Drug charges (except those listed as Ineligible below)
- Drug Felony 4 (DF4) charges
- Fort Collins Municipal Court charges
- Class 5 and Class 6 Felonies (except those listed as Ineligible below)
- Failure to Register
Ineligible offenses for warrant clearance are:
- Domestic Violence Misdemeanors or Felonies
- Any Victim Rights cases (VRA)
- Careless Driving Causing Death or Injury
- Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender
- Felony Eluding
- Sex Offenses (except Failure to Register)
- Class 1, 2, 3, and 4 Felonies (excluding DF4)
- Anyone who has failed to appear for a trial or for a jail/alternatives sentencing department sentence is NOT eligible for this event.
A new addition will be our partnership with events happening in Boulder, Jefferson, and Gilpin counties on the same date. Attorneys will be available virtually for any individual who also has a qualifying warrant in one of those participating jurisdictions.
