Delinquent property tax statements for the property tax year 2021 payable in 2022 will hit mailboxes this week.  Taxpayers that submitted a payment after July 8, 2022 might still receive a delinquent statement in the mail due to the printing and mailing process.

Colorado House Bill 21-1312 passed in 2021 which significantly increases the personal property exemption.  Effective with the 2021 tax roll, the exemption is raised from $7,900 or less, to $50,000 or less, in total actual value. If you are one of the 2500 businesses whose actual value is $50,000 or less, you will NOT receive a tax statement in January of 2022. If you have questions about your value, please call the assessor’s office at (970) 498-7050.
