From Friday, September 26, 2025 through Friday, October 10, 2025, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office will have information posted online regarding the presence of a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) in the community.
The information is being posted pursuant to Colorado Revised Statues 16-13-901 through 16-13-905 to specifically provide notification of the offender and to generally enhance public safety and protection. The information is being posted in lieu of a community meeting.
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, deputies responded to a report of a male who attempted to steal property from a Berthoud resident’s garage. The homeowner scared off the suspect, and deputies were unable to locate the male. The next morning, deputies received several calls in the same neighborhood reporting items that had been stolen from garages.
A suspect has been arrested after catfishing people on a dating app, arranging meetups, then trapping and threatening them in his vehicle. Deputies are concerned that more victims may exist.
On August 31, 2025, a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a 911 hangup call originating from the Douglas Reservoir area in Fort Collins. When they arrived, they saw a man identified as Anthony Brown-Wright (DOB 08/09/92) and another adult exit Brown-Wright’s white GMC Yukon.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two deaths that occurred in Pinewood Springs.
Just after 4:30 p.m. on September 9, 2025, LCSO deputies responded to a report of two deceased adults. The caller went to visit residents at a home on Deer Lane and found them dead inside. Crime scene investigators processed the scene and recovered several firearms. No other people were in the home.
