The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab and Evidence Unit is part of the Investigations Division and is comprised of five full-time crime scene investigators, as well as three full-time evidence technicians. In addition to in-house storing and processing of evidence, our personnel contribute two full-time lab analysts to the Northern Colorado Regional Forensic Lab.

From Friday, November 7, 2025 through November 21, 2025, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office will have information posted online regarding the presence of a Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) in the community.
The information is being posted pursuant to Colorado Revised Statues 16-13-901 through 16-13-905 to specifically provide notification of the offender and to generally enhance public safety and protection. The information is being posted in lieu of a community meeting.
A suspect has been arrested for placing a suspicious device outside the Larimer County Justice Center.
A suspect is in custody on charges related to a stabbing at a Wellington hotel.
Just before 5 p.m. on October 15, 2025, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a 9-1-1 report of a stabbing in the 7800 block of 6th Street. The caller said two men had been arguing in the hotel lobby when the suspect, later identified as Dominic Alley (DOB 01/16/95) of Wellington, stabbed the victim.
