Note from the Director
Extension’s mission is to empower people with practical knowledge from Colorado State University and trusted partners. In 2024, we continued to have strong numbers of educational contacts, volunteers, and web hits in support of this mission. In addition, new data shows the impacts of our work: the vast majority of people who participate in our programs intend to change their behavior or improve a practice.
Last year, the Larimer County Extension office surveyed producers (farmers and ranchers) to understand their greatest challenges, 5 year goals, conservation practices, and more. One hundred producers took the survey and the results were created into an accessible report and shared to county commissioners, producers, and local ag organizations. If you interested in learning more check out the report below.

Jennifer Cook from Gilpin County Extension will teach mindfulness techniques to reduce stress and create a sense of peace in nature and in the garden. She will describe and summarize the Mindfulness in Nature pilot workshop held in Gilpin County, and discuss how you can host a similar activity with friends, youth, or the public.
