The Work-Share Program offers an alternative to employers who are considering a reduction in workforce. Employers may be eligible to reduce and “share” employee hours rather than layoff. To compensate for the reduction in hours, employees may receive part of their regular unemployment benefits.

Layoff assistance (also known as Rapid Response) through LCEWD provides an employer pro-active, business-focused strategies to respond to layoffs and plant closures. LCEWD staff and Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) work with employers to provide services to affected workers.

The Workforce Development Board (WDB) is composed of decision-making individuals and leaders from the workforce system, education, economic development sectors and community leaders dedicated to workforce development. The Workforce Development Board provides employer-led, strategic leadership to assist employers in finding talent for existing and emerging industries by convening necessary partners and to assist community members in reaching their full potential.
